Let’s Celebrate! If you did not serve last weekend, you may have missed meeting our Volunteer of the Week…Katie Redmond! Katie is an Early Childhood Team Leader and also leads Large Group Worship and Bible history for the 3 and 4 year olds. She faithfully serves every other Saturday in the Yellow Room at 3:45pm. She has a huge heart for Parkview and Children’s Ministry and can always be counted on. Thank you, Katie, the best is yet to come!
This weekend we celebrate Mother’s Day. It is our second busiest weekend of the year and it’s the perfect time to invite friends and family to Parkview. Sometimes all we need to do is ask, they may be waiting for the invitation. Help us spread the word, all are welcome!
With Mother’s Day in mind, we may have a lot more new families visiting Kidz Connection too. We still have some openings this weekend, let’s make sure we are ready for everyone. We can use more leaders at all of our Sunday services. Our biggest need is at 11am, then 9am and then 5:45pm. Contact me right away if you can help or better yet click here and go to the online scheduler and plug yourself in for a very important role. THANK YOU!!!
I recently read through a list of 150 ways to show kids you care. You may be thinking… these are no-brainers! I don’t know, all I know is it’s always good to review. : ) Here’s a few for this week:
1. Smile ALOT
2. Listen to their stories
3. Stay with them when they’re afraid
4. Praise more, criticize less
5. Be curious with them
Everyone in a community can make a difference in the lives of children, you can make a difference by being a caring, responsible friend for young people. Make it a GREAT week, I look forward to seeing you soon!
With love,
jill
